ADMA: The Agricultural Dealers & Manufacturers Association

Updated: Apr 30

I had the privilege of chatting to Marco Garizio (Chairman for ADMA) Here’s what he had to say:

ADMA the Agricultural Dealers and manufacture Association of Zimbabwe is a properly constituted association with a body corporate and members. It is believed to have established in the early 70's.

The constitution dictates that the association promotes in the interests of its members and the public that ethical trading practices are adhered to throughout the mechanisation trade.

Agri show offers to the agricultural sector a once-a-year opportunity for farmers and the trade to interact, where farmers can compare machines side by side and prices.

It is an opportunity to introduce the latest technological advancements in all aspects of the agricultural sector.

Most agricultural shows worldwide have a livestock section.

Adma will introduce this year cattle and possibly next year sheep and goats.

This year’s cattle exhibit will focus on our 3 indigenous breeds:

The Mashona breeders’ association. The Tuli breeders’ association and the Nkone breeders’ association.

Each association have been allocated 8 pens into which they can display weaners, heifers, cows or bulls which will then be auctioned on Saturday the 24th starting at 10 am.

Adma believes through the livestock section we can additionally increase target market visitors to recover the investment over a few years.

ZWE Group's construction of the cattle arena:

Get ready for an exciting new addition: the upcoming cattle sales arena, tailored specifically for the Agricultural Dealers and Manufacturers Association (ADMA). Currently in the development phase, this innovative project aims to enhance the livestock trading experience with a focus on efficiency and functionality.

With careful planning, the design and development of our arena prioritize smooth flow and quick turn-around times, ensuring a hassle-free experience for participants on auction day. Our versatile layout will cater to all breeds of livestock, providing a platform for seamless operations.

Featuring essential elements such as holding pens, a handling crate, and a mobile loading ramp, strategically positioned for convenience and animal welfare, the arena promises to meet the practical needs of buyers and sellers alike.

At its core, a circular auction arena will facilitate natural flow and encourage interaction between participants. Equipped with modern technology, the auctioneer station will streamline bidding processes, ensuring successful auctions with ease.

As we work towards its completion, anticipation builds for the unveiling of the ADMA cattle sales arena, poised to offer a functional and efficient platform for agricultural professionals to engage in livestock trading.

Adma information.
